Two posters I created for the musical group Corpse Circus, a horror-core rap duo featuring Grimm and Killator Yellow Skull. They were both based on requests, the left hand piece was to be inspired by the old school G.I. Joe cartoon character, Destro, and featured nuances from the series. Likewise, the right hand one for Killator was inspired by M.F. Doom’s “mm Food” album, but with a dark spin to it. Both pieces came out better than I anticipated and are great examples of my ability to take a client’s concept and see it thru to completion.

A new piece in honor of an old friend who recently passed away. I call it “3rd Tear” the symbolism of half of the face being gone, as if a piece has been taken, and the smile is cracked and unable to keep the tear from showing through.A few of my past pieces have black tears on them, one for each important person who has passed away, this will mark the addition of the third.JONNYNEWBRAND

Album cover and companion poster for Toke’s (of One Click) upcoming album, Stuck On Top Of An Elevator. Toke is an up and coming Colorado based rap artist who started One Click. He is young but is steadily making moves and making himself known.

For the album cover I was asked to have Toke(the character in the mask) inside of a glass elevator, so I placed him in a meditative pose to show he is waiting patiently to reach the top, I even added a game of solitaire to suggest a self sufficient angle and drive the point home that he is biding his time. The poster design was asked to be surreal in design, which is my specialty, and had to include a glass elevator and a city in the background, I went with the mountain scape to showcase the feeling of the expansive Colorado mountains and put it together in a Sundance film festival sort of look. With Toke and his younger brother, both wearing their masks, sitting atop the elevator, enjoying the view as it were. The poster will be used to advertise for the upcoming album.

Design work has been pretty slow these past couple of weeks so here is a piece I’ve been brainstorming for a while now. Combing my love for the Wu and for Adidas shoes in one shiny killer bees color sensitive poster. Share, reblog, respect.JONNYNEWBRAND

About:

I am a designer / illustrator from New York, currently living in Atlanta Georgia. I am 6'2", with blue-eyes, blonde hair, and usually wear one or more of the colors red, white or black, sometimes(usually) all three.

I am always creating art, and when I'm not doing that I'm thinking about doing that, and when I'm not doing that I'm sleeping and dreaming about doing that. Art runs in my veins and out of my mind and onto anything that can carry it on into the world.

This website serves as an up-to-date online portfolio of (most of) my most recent works and creations. For contact information please click on the Professional Contact link above the link that got you here. If you are interested in having any work done by yours truly for your cause, by all means send me an email or contact me using some other means such as smoke signals or arrows with scrolls affixed(both valid options), I would most likely be more than happy to lend my abilities.
